Children from influential families in politics and businesses attend the Hyakkaou Private Academy. There, the hierarchy of the students are classified by a series of games. Students that win the games are on the ruling side and the students who lose become slaves. One day, a mysterious girl, Yumeko Jabami (Minami Hamabe), is transferred to Hyakkaou Private Academy. She looks pure and pretty, but she is actually a compulsive gambler and seeks out the thrill of taking calculated risks.
Pop idol sensation Yumemi challenges Yumeko to a gambling match, but Yumeko knows that Yumemi is hiding a dark ambition beneath her sweet exterior.
The crowd goes wild for the Yumeko versus Yumemi pop idol show down. The girls are all smiles on stage, but they've each put everything on the line.
Yumemi’s scheme doesn’t go according to plan, forcing her to throw her fate to pure luck. Later, Yumemi reveals the existence of an unknown saboteur.
Yumeko challenges Manyuda to a public match. Unable to back out, he wagers the vast war chest in his control as student council treasurer.
Manyuda goes all-in, betting all of the funds in his control. Desperate to continue gambling, Yumeko pushes Itsuki to wager more than she can afford.
