The hugely successful British television series Father Dear Father is transplanted to Australia when novelist Patrick Glover and his assistant Nanny trek down under to write the great Australian crime novel, and end up supervising Patricks boisterous young nieces while their own father is abroad.
Patrick works through difficult plot points for his novel with Nanny and receives promising news from his Australian publisher, but must deliver another chapter to seal the deal. The girls make a mess of his manuscript and are forced to retype it, but their skills aren't quite up to par.
Liz tries to convince Patrick she should have a horse.
Fifty year old letters belonging to previous residents of the house cause confusion.
